"what is your next ski"
Apr-30-09, 09:57 PM (EST)
I just got the Volkl AC50 for next year... what is your next ski and why?

I got the AC50 because I destroyed my AC4s.. well I still skied on them this year with a missing 1" piece in my edge, but 'there dead Jim'... so I bought the AC50s...

What about you?

I've tried quite a few skis this year. I own a couple of pairs of Salomon X-Wing Furies in a 184. That's a beefy wood core 86mm-waist all mountain ski with a 20.4 meter natural turn radius. The AC50 in that length is just about the same ski. I'm looking for something with a little more sidecut. The Rossi CX 80 and Nordica Jet Fuel are 'turn-ier'. I've been looking for a deal that's better than 50%-off and haven't seen one yet.

well I have been waiting for a reply but nobody but you and me seem to be out here right now Geoff... I recommend if you are looking for a deal on skiis to go to www.tramdock.com ... they have ski related stuff on 1 item at a time usually for about 30 minutes usually at least 50% off ... excellent service and prices... they are probably running out of deals this late but you never know..

The kind of gear I'm interested in pretty much never makes it to Tramdock. I've had better luck on eBay over the years.
