Wow! How many things can go wrong at once? Chair seat up, "wore the stupid pants instead of bibs today!", everything pulled down (or up), and may favorite, "I told the rental ski technician I was an INTERMEDIATE!" i.e. "why the heck didn't the bindings release?" Oh yeah, and the final one, "stupid Atkin's diet! I felt just fine being fat!"

Unbelievable that this happened. I agree with others and am surprised that he fell through. You'd think that at some point, he would have gotten wedged in there. I'd think his back has a pretty good scratch right down the spine, to boot. It'll be interesting to hear what happens (certainly hope he got his lift tkt refunded for the day...that'd be a $100 payout right there!)

OK, so this begs the question - "who in here has gotten stuck on the lift in some way?" I haven't, but once I was skiing with a friend who had pulled down his bib straps off of his shoulders for the ride up. Then he tried to de-chair, a strap got stuck and the lift op didn't stop the lift until he was dangling in the air, almost over the netting. Worst thing was that the suit started ripping as he was dangling there, but, fortunately, stopped and he was rescued in time and skied the rest of the day. Still a humorous story, 20 years later! (well, he doesn't really thing so! )
